Each week in class we combine your preschooler's natural love of music, storytelling, and imaginative play with age-appropriate activities that introduce early music concepts and foster independence, social and emotional skills, language growth, and self-control.
Our Fall themes and units include:
Music Day House Party -
These weeks of unlimited virtual classes offer SO MUCH to engage you and your
child through interactive online play with Ms. Debbie ! ALL of your
FAVORITES are included during class time, as well as extra story times and
dance parties. You will both love the book about what happens each day
of Kindermusik, and we'll create our own adapted story of how a day with
Virtual music class unfolds. At this age, these two weeks
also give you access to the Mira, Royal Detective Experience and all the music
without additional cost.
Week 3-7: In My Garden - Your child will be getting back into nature with a song
and a dance. We'll feel like walking barefoot in the grass on a sunshiny
day, as well as buzzing, sniffling, wriggling, hopping, slithering and
burrowing like the insects and animals in our backyard garden. What
kind of stories will your child be creating during their enhanced pretend play
Week 8-12: Feel the Music - Music is amazing in it’s ability to let us feel different
emotions. Sometimes, those feelings are exactly what the composer
wanted us to feel. Sometimes, we come to those emotions all on our
own! Let’s investigate the world of our own emotions along with some
music techniques and a wide variety of instruments, and learn not only to hear
the music, but to FEEL the Music!
Week 13-14: WINTER House

Throughout ALL the weeks, Students are
invited to follow through on interesting "homework" to continue to
engage them through out the week, supported by emails and posts to our private
FB group. We'll also share tips, resources, and ideas for infusing music
into your daily routines, and developing rituals for relationship building.
Through these multi-sensory music activities,
your child can develop a wide variety of school readiness skills, such as
turn-taking, social skills, and active listening. Repetition of these
activities also promotes the ongoing development of
their language, social and emotional skills, early math and early literacy,
physical coordination, creativity, and more. Plus, your child will learn basic
music concepts, vocabulary and notation--all setting the stage for future
school success and formal music lessons.
