Imagine That! takes your child on a musical journey of discovery and exploration - a journey limited only by the power of imagination. Pretend play activities are integrated with music, vocal development, storytelling, movement and literature to capture your child's potential to learn and to encourage cognitive and literacy skills, creativity and individuality.
Our preschoolers will thrive with this opportunity to participate independently with their peers, along with Ms Debbie, for about 30 minutes. The parents (and family) are invited to join in our music making for the last 15 minutes, and challenged to complete some "homework" during the week, expanding on the themes introduced in class.
Level 3 & 4 programs are designed for active, energetic, enthusiastic, and imaginative 3- and 4-year-olds and encourages socialization, sharing, and participating in group activities. Singing becomes a focus for enhancing the preschooler's vocal development as her expressive language is just beginning to emerge. This program is there to help your 3 year old transition to greater independence (even if not fully ready), developing their confidence in making music like a 4 year old who is ready to take on the world of music through movement.
During the 2017-18 school year session, we will enjoy two uniqely themed units:
See What I Saw - Your child will have an abundance of new songs and ways to make music through creative pretend opportunities in a park setting, weaving through the playground, nature, picnics, and SO much more. (Fall = 15 lessons)
Outside My Window - This short 4 lesson unit will provide a creative opportunity with a Fresh Kindermusik style and access to your digital Parent Portal. This unit gets us checking out the window at the weather... and our winter's play will give them a better sense of what they might do on a snowy day.
Toys I Make, Trips I Take - The world of classic toys come alive, with imaginative explorations of balls, hoops, drums, spinning tops, and pretend travels on a boat and a train. Through these activities, your child will be expand on their steady beat and begin to explore more complex rhythms and ensemble development. (Feb - May = 15 lessons)
